Training Description: Music is present in our daily lives, whether through listening to recorded music, music in the background in movies, or even in listening to the music created by nature by birds, insects, and other creatures in nature. Music can also be used as a powerful therapy tool as many of our memories are connected to music, both positive and negative, and can be used by clients in many different ways in the therapy process. This live webinar aims to share how music can be used a therapeutic tool to benefit clients.

Goal: To gain an understanding of and learn practical ways that music can be used as a therapeutic tool

Objectives:

  • a. Participants will understand of the difference between Music Therapy and Using Music as a Therapeutic Tool
  • b. Participants will be able to identify the neurological and relational benefits of listening to and participating in music expression
  • c. Participants will be able to identify ways that music can be used as a therapeutic tool through participatory experiences
  • d. Participants will learn ways to document using music as a therapeutic tool
