Training Expectations
MOPS Training Philosophy
MOPS values life-long learning, continuous improvement, and reflective clinical practice as essential components of growth, adaptation, and change. In support of the agency mission and vision, MOPS promotes staff education and development and provides opportunities for growth and advancement of all. Please note that not all trainings are open to the public due to content specific to MOPS’ clinical staff.
Registration and Attendance
- Participants are expected to read the Participant and Training Expectations in order to register for training through www.mopstraining.com.
- A confirmation email will be sent to registered participants within 24 hours of registering and a reminder email will be sent two days prior to the training.
- Virtual sign-in begins at 8:30am. Please sign in at least 5 minutes early to ensure sufficient audio and video connection. For full-day trainings (8:45am-4pm), a 15-minute break will be given in the morning and afternoon in addition to a 45-minute lunch break. For half day trainings (8:45am-1:00pm), a 15-minute break will be given approximately halfway through the training. Full attendance will be required to receive a certificate of completion; no partial credits will be offered for individuals missing more than a total of fifteen (15) minutes course time.
Cancellation
Participants may cancel their registration any time up to one business day prior to and receive a full refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations made with less than one business day’s notice. Agencies are welcome to send a substitute participant in place of a registered participant if a registered participant cannot attend; this must be arranged in advance to ensure the participant receives the link to join the training. In the event that a training is cancelled by MOPS, participants will receive a full refund or a credit for a future workshop, whichever they desire. Registration will be open until the two days prior to each training at 8:00am (EST); payment can be made at any time while registration is open.
Participant Learning Agreement
- Participants will fully participate and be present. Participants will be respectful and actively listen.
- Participants will demonstrate excellence.
- Participants will lean into discomfort and self-reflect. We do not expect participants to have the “right answers” when participating.
- To obtain CE credit, participants must be present for 100% of the training, have their video camera on, and actively participate. Participants may be removed from the training due to lack of participation.
- Training sessions may be recorded. All chats are archived.
- We ask that participants not copy or post our slide content on social media due to privacy concerns and intellectual property ownership rights.
Electronic Devices
For virtual trainings, training sessions may be recorded, and all chats are archived within the meeting that the training is held. Participants will not admit AI notetaking or meeting assistant third-party applications. Microsoft AI software may be used for closed captions, transcription, and notetaking. AI may be used by the trainer following responsible use procedures and inform attendees when AI is being used.
Accommodations for Persons with Disabilities
We make every effort to accommodate persons with disabilities. If a participant needs special arrangements, they may contact us at [email protected]. Closed captions can be turned on by individual users. Participants may admit an interpreter to the training with prior permission.
Continuing Education Hours
Mid-Ohio Psychological Services, Inc. has been approved as a CE provider by the Ohio Psychological Association (#311358292) and the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board (RCS060502). Ohio Psychologists: Mid-Ohio Psychological Services, Inc. is approved by the Ohio Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for Psychologists. Mid-Ohio Psychological Services, Inc. maintains responsibility for its program and content. Full attendance is required; no partial credits will be offered for partial attendance. Ohio Counselors & Social Workers: Mid-Ohio Psychological Services, Inc. is an approved provider with the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
Mid-Ohio Psychological Services, Inc. has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEPTM No. 7265. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Mid-Ohio Psychological Services, Inc. is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs. Full attendance at this course meets the qualifications for continuing education credit. Within one week of completion, we will submit your attendance verification to CE-Broker (for those under the CSWMFT Board) and/or OPA-MCE (for psychologists). Certificates of completion will be generated in participants’ mopstraining.com Training Portal and will be available to download after all training steps are completed.
